- Start from the end: in 'my father's sister's son', solve 'my father' first, then 'his sister', then 'her son'.
- 'Only son' / 'only child' of my parent often means the speaker himself or herself.
- Cousin: the child of your father's or mother's brother or sister.
- Gender: do not assume it. If the question does not say whether someone is male or female, use only what is given.
